With ORIGIN, Yann Arthus-Bertrand takes us on an unprecedented aerial journey above the Venice lagoon, with rare images that are far from the tourist clichés we usually see.
Venice is one of the most photographed place in the world, and yet the film capture never-before-seen perspectives and images of this special place. Each landscape is a visual work of art highlighting the thousand years relationship between human and the wild in these lands.
This film is a longer version of a short film that Yann Arthus-Bertrand made for the Architecture Biennale, at the request of Carlo Ratti, curator of the exhibition. When Alberto Barbera, director of the Mostra, saw this film, he commissioned Yann to make this longer version for the pre-opening of the 2025 edition of the festival.
