Calling on drone videographers worldwide,
to make a great movie about the Earth.

A project by
Yann Arthus-Bertrand
& Hope Production

All around the world, humans and wild life are in constant motion, shaping a new face to our planet every minute, telling new stories.

Passionate photographers and videographers capture the vibrancy of life on Earth, particularly from aerial perspectives that can be both awe-inspiring and alarming.

Fourteen years after Home and two years after Legacy, Yann Arthus-Bertrand is now crafting a new film to document the ever-changing face of our planet.

A collaborative project, for which all the drone pilots around the globe are invited to share their best drone images, to tell today's world story.

A collaborative

and international

movie project

This movie's essence and strength will lie in its collaborative nature. Beautiful and stunning drone footage are being taken every day all over the world, by all of you.

Through this project, we can bring these images together to describe the beauty of our Earth, its strengths and weaknesses. We know we will only change the world all together, therefore we have to make this film the same way.

Focused on the

drone technology

After years of filming lands and oceans from helicopters, the drone technology will allow us to create a work of art in the spirit of the times: filming once again the Earth from above, but remaining our feet on the ground.

Thus, although the shooting will take place across the seven continents, this movie will be an ethical, local and low-carbon work, as we are committed to do all our projects from now on.

For today's and

future generations

Today more than ever, we need to stick together around the future of our planet and those who live on it. The first screening of the film will happen just before the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, an exceptional moment to unite around common challenges: preservation of nature, biodiversity and humanity.

It is time to join forces and raise awareness at a global level, for us and for future generations.

Application process

1. Participant entry

Fill the registration form. Provide your basic information and a link to a 15-minute video compilation of your images that best illustrate today's world. You will be asked to briefly describe your footage and how your images are meaningful to our project. Submitted footage will be considered by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and our team.

2. Pre-selection

Pre-selected candidates will be contacted to provide raw footage in order to be included in the work-in-progress edit. All candidates will be contacted even if their work is not selected. The film is in its early stage of production and there is no announcement date settled yet.

3. Selected footage

Once the footage you provided has been chosen for the final cut, our production team will contact you to verify your permission to use your visuals and acquire the necessary rights.

Yann Arthus-Bertrand

Yann Arthus-Bertrand is a French photographer, film director and environmental activist. He is the president of the GoodPlanet Foundation. He devoted a large part of his life, since the 80's, to sublimating lands and oceans from the air, aboard helicopters. For him, there is no better way to understand and tell how we all live on Earth than filming and photographing from the sky. His book Earth from Above, first published in 1999, is a worldwide best-seller. This aerial work changed his life and made him take action: a few years later he directed among others Home (2009), Human (2015) and Legacy (2021), to deal with the state of our planet. Today, he stopped using helicopters and travelling through planes. For him, a new way of capturing the Earth from above and making important movies is possible, especially thanks to new generations of aerial artists and the drone technology.

Hope Production

After numerous documentaries for television and cinema signed Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Hope Production was born from the meeting with the producer Jean-Yves Robin. The subsidiary of Robin&Co group has expanded into cinema with both Human (2015) and Woman (2020), a series of portraits shot around the world, both presented at the Venice Film Festival. Hope Production is exclusively dedicated to environmental and humanistic issues. We propose an original version of production, but also new modes of distribution. Our objective is to address the future of humanity and our planet in the most free and honest way possible.
